I think these are the issues for those for cutting abortion funding:
- Pro-Lifers believe abortions are immoral, unethical, and/or ungodly.
- Moral conservatives believe that too much sex is being had, especially out of wedlock.
- Fiscal conservatives believe that the government shouldn’t be wasting money on abortions.
Everyone has a right to their beliefs. I am amused by the “too much sex” point-of-view though. I do think that there is too much sex outside marriage, but I feel abortion should be an option for situations where the mother’s life is threatened, and where it is impossible to give the child up for adoption (which is rare).
If you really think about aborting a child, I don’t think you’ll want to end a potential or growing life. But there are also extreme situations that come up in the real world that I can’t predict.
