Mr. Balloon For You

We ran into Mr. Balloon For You after a lunch run to Roxy’s Grilled Cheese (the Mighty Rib Melt was fantastic!). According to his Facebook page, Mr. Murphy “has been making balloon sculptures since he was 13” and he is “a fun loving artist that intends to wow, amaze, and inspire audiences of all ages through balloon modeling and clowning around.”

Don’t worry we saved the monkey, named him Roxy Clover III and gave him to Dr. Tofighi as a gift.

Espy and I ran into these wonderful gentlemen on our way back from Cosi. It turns out that the Boston Chamber of Commerce sponsors them to perform around the city during lunch.

The piece that they play in this video is St. James Infirmary Blues, which Louis Armstrong made popular in the late 1920s. They were also nice enough to pose for a picture.

Al-Noor: the Boston College Undergraduate Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies Journal
This issue of the journal is really good. I’ve enjoyed the papers on Al-Jazeera and the USAID, and I’m currently reading about the Agha Khan Award for Architecture.
