The Together festival kicks off tomorrow! In its third year, Together is combination of music, art, and technology with a sprinkling of eccentric personalities and outrageous style. This is how the organizers of the festival describe it:

“Founded in 2009, Together is a week-long electronic music festival held throughout Greater Boston.

By night, it’s a whirlwind party showcasing the biggest local DJs alongside rising stars and legends from around the world.

By day, Together is a conference – think discussion panels, screenings, tradeshows, and gear demos – celebrating the latest in fashion, technology, and art, and how they come together in the always-evolving world of electronic music.”

It means that this week some of the biggest names and pioneers of electronic dance music (EDM) will be in town for seven days of music and fun…and there will be artistes representing other flavors as well. Check out the event schedule. Some of the big names (in my opinion) that will be performing across Beantown are Nero, Dillon Francis, and RJD2, and Big Freedia will be in town to bring New Orleans Bounce to the masses, with the support of Wheez-ie and Big Digits.
